CaRx
After months of two part dosing, introducing SPS, and seeing my two part dosing req increase to 400ml per day, I am going with a calcium reactor. I went with an "older school" LCR2 from Lifereef, as I already have two sumps, a skimmer and 8 media reactors from Jeff that I like. I am having it made in custom florescent orange! Like the rest of my stuff, in flor.
I will be doing the CarbonDoser regulator as I have several of them that I have been using for CO2 injection in my large freshwater planted tank. Love that I can use them with a "PH controller" for the DT PH on my Apex. All good. It is expensive, but a reliable unit that can be plugged into a programmable outlet and has a solenoid and bubble dial/controller. Next decision is PH controller for the CaRx...I am foregoing this for now, and will simply place a Hanna PH probe into the CaRx, and not connect it to a controller. Think that I will monitor and adjust for a few intense days after startup, and then once or twice a week thereafter after steady state has been reached ("set and forget"). Jeff claims loudly that his equipment does not req a PH controller. Seem reasonable?
