Shark 1.5 pump/Aquamax skimmer problem

So my Shark 1.5 pump on the Aquamax cone skimmer CO1 stopped working. The impeller was stuck, so I pulled it out and did not see any issue. It was not swollen or misshaped. I soaked it and the pump in vinegar and made sure there was no build up on it or in the pump. When I tried to reinsert the impeller, it would barely go in and felt tighter than before. So after reading everything I could find on it, I ordered a new impeller. Well, the new impeller is the same. It goes most of the way in, but feels like it does not fit and gets stuck, requiring pliers to get it out. I have closely examined all parts and just don't see any issues. I am trying to avoid buying a new pump if possible.

if that doesn't work

amazon has the same 1.5. it's a sicce
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004VFP3AC...a-319028535574

you can just pull the impeller and bearings from the old one and drop into the new.

much cheaper than buying a branded "shark 1.5 skimmer pump"

reeftivo, thank you! That pump is less than ten dollars more than the impeller I bought.

reeftivo, have you used the sicce 1.5 on the aquamax? I received it today and none of the fittings are the same, so I can't figure out how it will work. Thanks!
