Chris - I see in the 1st picture that your crossbraces are visible at the surface. Does this bother you at all? This occurs in one of my tanks as well.

New Pics without the cross braces:
My camera hates the blue hue my radions are in during the end of the photo period. I will try and grab a few more pics when the lights are on fully.

Looks good! I am actually in the process of convincing the wife to let me upgrade my 150 gallon to this style 300 gallon. Keep the pictures and updates coming.

haha you know I have a list of things to add here. I have been keeping a list so I guess I need to make some time to update it. Things have gotten a lot better since the last update.

Time for a very sad update:
Around 4PM today I found out that the 20A breaker my tank was on tripped at 9AM. All fish except my Blue Hippo, Orange Diamond Goby, Potters Wrasse, Leopard Wrasse, Starry Blenny and clownfish were all dead. I have removed almost all rock work so far. I guess its time to reboot the tank, I wont give up on this tank, this is my dream tank. First Item is to get an electrician in to install a new circuit.

Starting a new thread on here for the reboot. I want to keep these threads separate.

Sorry for your loss.
Get your electrician to help you diagnose the cause of the failure (lest you be doomed to repeat it). Cheers for starting over! Dave.M

If he's going to run one new circuit he ought to run two. That way you can halve the load and never push a GFCI to the failure point again.

Hi Chris,
I live in Lexington, KY. Love saltwater fish. Got a mixed reef 90G. Thinking about moving to a 300DD. Could used some (and all) advice. Any chance, I could check out your tank? |
