Acceptable daily temp swing
Is a 2 degree daily temperature swing acceptable for SPS?

Up to 5 degrees swing is acceptable from my observation.
My tank swing from 27 to 23 daily at the moment. |

This summer I would go from 76 to 84 daily with no issues.

I can’t imagine a 2 degree swing would kill SPS, but will they thrive under those conditions???
My tank never swings more than 1 degree in 24 hours. |

I wouldn't stress it at all. Places that get corals to spawn, intentionally swing the temps to mimic nature. Many natural reefs swing temps fairly drastically.

I had a chiller that had a 4 degree differential so I would not worry, especially if it's over the course of a day.
