I actually know benthic (deep water >1000ft) corals pretty well since my job is driving around looking at corals etc with experts on them. We will be heading out for an expedition to Monterey Canyon next week. We do a live broadcast and you can ask questions to the scientists or pilots as we go. See http://www.nautiluslive.org/
