New algae: What is it?? Good or bad??

This dark green, uniform in color algae appeared on the lower rocks of my tank. Slowly growing over the last month. At this rate I might have to stop it. Any suggestions on how?

Looks like cyanobacteria to me. Syphon it out.

If it keeps coming back, look into adding more flow to that area.

More drastic things like blackouts and chemical warfare are an option if it gets out of control.
