Reactor help needed
Hello,
Need some advice. I have made a reactor Manifold so I can run my reactors from the return pipework but I just don't have the room to include this under my tank, so the only way I can see to run them now is from their own pump. The reactors are phosban 150 and wondered if I can connect them together and run them off the same pump eheim 1000. I will be running carbon and some kind of phosphate remover just really to save having to run two pumps. Or is there any other way to run these media's effectively without reactors? |

I run the same two reactors for GFO and Carbon. I use a Maxiejet 1200 to run both. I have full flow going to carbon, then I have a T that splits and reduces flow to the GFO. This has worked well for me for years. I think you would be fine with one pump.

I never recommend running GFO unless you have a phosphate problem..
Too many people think they need GFO reactors for some reason.. You don't.. GFO is a solution to a problem.. Don't have the problem.. don't need a solution.. plain and simple.. Also in general the flow rates for carbon and GFO are different so having them in series isn't the best idea either..
