Whats wrong with UPS?
Placed an order with liveaquaria. Package supposed to arrive today by 1030am. UPS claimed they tried to deliver but no one was home. I checked my doorbell camera from 10-11am, and no one rang the bell or even came close to the house. They will try again to deliver tmo after I called to complain. It really bothers me the UPS driver lied.

Are you sure that it was supposed to be delivered by 10:30?... LA now ships by “end of day”!

And I think the delivery deadline time depends on where you live. Here in the SF Bay Area I still get the "by 10:30am" confirmation. But out in the countryside that deadline might be too hard to meet.

liveaquaria actually called me to say UPS tried to deliver, but no one was home. when i tracked it, they claimed they passed by around 1014am. my doorbell camera picks up any motion within 30 feet.

I just got an order from them last week it shipped from California to me in New Hampshire by 10:30 am the next day. I also have the video doorbell and it has saved me in the past from a delivery driver that claimed hand delivered to resident that I never received. Mine was also a UPS driver that turned out he delivered it two houses down from me, If I didn't have video to back me up they wouldn't have believed me.

I am not sure what standard UPS sets their workers too, but it is definitely lower than it used to be. They refuse to ring the doorbell.

Look like UPS will try to redeliver this morning, instead of Monday. Hopefully the corals are ok.

I ship out fish all the time, and only trust Fedex via ShipYourAquatics. Still not perfect, but a heckuva lot more reliable/consistent than UPS. Only better option is shipping via Delta.

I recently had UPS deliver my live fish shipment to a house one street over from where I live. Luckily I know the person who lives at the address so everything ended well...but still...the street names are completely different. Linden isn't spelled Glencoe...heh.

LiveAquaria has good customer service...even if this doesn't end well for the corals...they will still take care of you to make things right. Just be kind to the cs agent when explaining what happened so they can get things straightened out for you.

UPS delivered the last night around 5 pm to my surprise. The driver never rang the bell. He dropped on box off and took off. So far, the corals look ok.

[QUOTE=ThRoewer;25597305]But they never ask for delivery confirmation or signature. So even if nobody was home the UPS driver should just have left the boxes at the door. Upside down, sideway and took off

There is a silver lining here. We get to meet the mysterious neighbors when UPS screws up. My neighbor right next door bought the house three years ago and I have only seen glimpses of him. The other day he was at my door with a package UPS delivered to his house. Guess what? He's into reef tanks too. Thanks UPS!
