Snapped this couple sharing a moment while I was out on a day trip to Skyline Drive a few years back.

Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised from how clean the edges were in that low of light while taking it freehand. I took that with my old Canon Powershot S5 IS.

Just a smartphone pic but, it's the first bloom of a hibiscus plant I bought a couple of months ago. Taken just before dawn today.

So this is just a quick phone pic of my son at a football game. He and his brother were special guests and got to be ball boys for the night at our local high schools home coming game. Neither can play sports for medical reasons but they just love going to see "their" team play from the sidelines!

Thanks,

Used 2 small LED flashlights - one around 5K, the other around 2K. Time delay was set to 30 seconds, which is why the sky looks yellow.

Didn't notice the issue with the headlight - may need to reprocess this again.

Took another trip up to Skyline Drive this past Tuesday. Unfortunately I missed out on the peak of Fall colors there. Anyway, not all was lost. There was still some colors there. So this is a mild HDR pic I took.

Very nice photo. It doesn't look overly HDR-like. Have you considered cropping in just a smidge from the bottom right?

No I haven't, but will now. As far as the HDR, It was a little low light there in the first place, but I think I used "Enhance 2" from Photomatrix on it. everything else just looked overdone.

Not overly done as you displayed it. In fact, very well maintained I think. I used to use Photomatrix and really liked it. I have been using another program with presets since and have really liked that better. It is heavy on B&W's though which suits my photography style better.

Nothing special, getting a true macro lens soon so I'll try to post more and branch out of reef photography too.

I agree. It looks really nice now. Great shot. I wish I had a nice car to actually use as a subject, lol.

Macro lenses are great because they are sharp, but it takes a lot of practice to nail focus with them many times because you generally want to use them manually. If you have any questions when you do get it, let us know
