Rethinking and started over help me RC!!!

Hi all,

Originally I was moving from a 60 gallon to a 180 corner bow front. After rushing into a new tank and other issues I have decided to move to a 120 Aqueon max flow.

My question to you all is. This is my chance to start over and do thing a little different. I would like to use Pukani rock instead of the traditional live rock (what do you think). With that being said, her is the big question I want to move fast through the cycle process but I don't want to rush and have other issues down the line.

Question 1: Can I use Dr. Tim's bacteria to help cure my rock?

Question 2: If I can't do the above BRS says that a bleach cure is good and moves the process along fast. How long does the rock need to set in bleach water? I plan on rinsing the rock off first.

Question 3: Should I cycle the rock in the tank bare bottom so I can siphon anything that comes off the rock?

Question 4: if I cycle bare bottom then and live sand is that going to start another cycle?

I ask all this as I do not plan on bringing any of my old rock over. Thanks for your help RC.

(Purchase a brute container soak for maybe 1 or less week. Rinse off with garden hose & container. Start cycling the rocks in the container)

I ask all this as I do not plan on bringing any of my old rock over. Thanks for your help RC.
