Is this hose reef safe?

Hi,

I've used some ribbed hose lock hose to pipe up my UV, but thinking about it not sure if its reef safe? The ribbed part is plastic and not metal so no worried about that. But the gose it's self has gone a greyish colour and has gone a little slimy.

Can anyone confirm?

That is simply flexible PVC material.
It is reef safe.

Is this the outside that has gone "slimy"? Has it been exposed to any chemicals?
Is it only in areas with water exposure/direct immersion in water?

Yes the outside, not been exposed to any chemicals. Just slimy on areas where it has been in contact with tank water.

Just bacterial slime on it then...totally normal
