Mag media

Does it require Co2 for it to melt? can I top it off on a bio-denitrator?

Assuming you mean something like magnesium crystals then no.. They will dissolve when put into the water.. No need to put them into a reactor..
I just toss some into the return section of my sump as needed..

Yes, the ones that sit on top in your reactor.

Im still a bit confused...mag crystals for raising your mag levels don't typically get put in a reactor at all...

Hi, I put Magnesium media in my Calcium Reactor all the time, I use the Two Little Fishes in my reactor with the Magnesium mixed in with the Reborn Calcium media.

80/20 ratio in a calcium reactor. That's the preferred way these days.

Putting it in a calcium reactor makes sense to me.. :lightbulb:
Clearly I don't use one and for some reason was thinking you wanted to add it to a media reactor like on top of GFO or biopellets or something..

Never knew you could put mag in a calc reactor. I've also never used one in general

I believe he is referring to Zeomag Magnesium Granulate for calcium reactors. It mixes in with your calcium reactor media. I have seen some just add it on top of the media. It should comprise 30% of the media in your reactor.
