Red Dust on everything. New system

So I am a few months into my reboot of a 60 cube. As expected my dry rock went through a HA phase. I am past that now. Nitrates and phosphates are zero. I started seeing red dust on the top of the rocks. I cut back the light cycle (Kessels) cut my feeding in half. My PH wend from consistent 8.1-8.2 to 7.9-8.05. I am guessing it is the shorter light cycle...

Now its not really dust but just on the tips of all the rough edges of the rocks surface.
today I noticed the red on the glass as well. Somewhat of a film, just red rather than green. I personally have never seen this on any of my systems. When I have seen cyano its in the usual low flow spots. Not likely to find too many in this system...Two WAV running pretty hot and an MP40 running about 40%. all very random and alternating..

Any education on what this might be would be appreciated...

Well I went through the diatoms, then the HA, and now this study. I am hoping it will pass.

does not really show up on iPhone pics. I have fr1ends with iPhones that take epic pics. my 7 does not. Looks like diatoms but red. seems to not have gotten any worse. but now I have what looks like dino. makes no sense. only a 4 small fish. a pinch of pellets once a day in food. zero nitrates, zero p04. I may just shut off lights for two weeks... No corals yet.
