White #2 barrels

I have the chance to buy 4 - 55 gallon white #2 plastic barrels to store water in. The barrels had dry corn in them.

Can I use these to store RODI water in them?

#2 - HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene)
HDPE plastic is the stiff plastic used to make milk jugs, detergent and oil bottles, toys, and some plastic bags.
HDPE is the most commonly recycled plastic and is considered one of the safest forms of plastic.

If its food friendly you can't go wrong

Just adding a second opinion that yes the barrels/plastic are totally fine...
In fact I can't think of a commonly used plastic that isn't safe...Used tanks obviously may have had chemicals in them that may be problematic.
