Help! What happened to my beautiful squamosa clam?!?!

Woke up this morning to my beautiful clam and cam home to it torn and gaping! I saw a snail travel up the shell but did not think it would hurt my clam?! Did the snail hurt it? Is my clam done?

sadly, your clam is done. the snail *could* have been the culprit, depending on what kind of snail. it's more likely the snail was just feeding on what's left of your clam. when clams go, they go very quickly. i had this happen with one. it had been in my reef tank for years, got up one morning and it looked like yours.

Never hold your farts in. They travel up your spine into your brain, and that is where crappy ideas come from.

Current Tank Info: i gave my reef away and i feel like a bird out of a cage!!

I'd pull it now to avoid it polluting your system. Otherwise, you'll start to see a slimy film in your sump.

How long has your tank been up and running?
