Bigger Whiner: Vectra M1 vs Vectra L1

I'm deciding between the Vectra M1 and L1 for my new build and noise is my biggest concern. I've seen a few YouTube videos and some make a slight whine while on others sound dead silent. I'm guessing the noise is more noticeable at higher speeds. The Jebao DC12000 Return Pump is the only DC pump I've ever heard and it definitely whined at all speeds.

So my question is will a Vectra M1 running at 80-100% be louder than a Vectra L1 running at 50-60%?

I have the M1and it's still pretty darn quiet running at 80% or full speed.

My L1 is very quiet.
You have to get your ear within 2-3 feet of the pump at 100% to hear even the faintest sound.
Same with the M1 at 100%

I understand they are very quiet but are they louder (still quiet) at 100% than they are at 50%. Or is there no difference, just as quiet at 25% as at 100%. I think I'm going either the M1 because of the smaller foot print and hope it gives off less heat than the L1.

I think peoples view of quiet are different than most...I have had 2 m1's and now a L1 and have to say they are no more quiet than the Jaboa...I have done a video on the M1 and its performance

They are very quiet but the M1 typically fails within a year - be warned. Not sure about the L1 failure rate.

both M1 and L1 is quite quiet under 50%, but at 100% both whine up enough to hear it well. Less than Jebao, but you get that jet plan noise from both.

I'm wondering the same thing. I want to switch over for both energy consumption and noise reduction

I have the M1. It's noise is directly proportional to the speed.
If noise is of high importance to you, going for the L1 at a lower set-point makes sense (I have never heard the L1 myself though)
Personally I will look into Royal Exclusiv's pumps whenever my current M1 breaks down.
