Couple questions for you that might help us investigate your problems.
1- What type of lighting do you have? 2- Are you using RODI water? 3- Bi-monthly water change? 4- What are your Mg levels? |

Is the frogspawn receiving to much flow? Do you have any fish that bother it? I have a pair of clown fish that host in mine and they damaged one of the heads. Maybe post some pics of you set up too.

sorry should have written this stuff too.
90 gal tank MH 2x250 Sunpod using RODI water at TDS meter reads 0-3 doing 15gal water change every 2-3weeks rather than 30 gal a mo. Magnesium levels im at work and i forgot but it was in line Whenever i check. Greg: i dont think there is too much flow it seems to be in a good spot. and the head dying arent the ones i would expect they are in great position as apposed to others that dont die on the same branch. and there doesnt appear to be any fish bothering it. |

Thanks guys, keep HR questions coming. To anwer the last ones, my coraline growth seems ok, I have some on the side glass and all over the rocks. Not sure if it gee coraline fast or slow but I do havewhat I believe to be good. I am testing phosphates with salifedt. Although in fen meeting joe, u tested my phosphates at the meeting. It was high about 1.5 I added a phosban reactor about a month and a half ago.when I tested a few days after with salifsrt it as down drastically to about .3 but for some reason is testing about .5-. When I test currently. I have no growth on ricordia, frogspawn, trumpets, hard bonsai, but they are living and look good just no growth.I don't expect fast growth but I have had these pie we for at least a year or two and not even another mouth or head or anything. Just seems odd yet jury are living and feeding

What is the Kelvin rating on your bulbs? Also are they the stock bulbs that come with the sunpod? Their bulbs are really not very good.

might be worth swapping out one of the bulbs at this point and see how that tank reacts.
PO4's still might be an issue, most test kits tend to read low...

what bulb do you recommend that will fit into the sunpod. its a double ended bulb, 250W and i dont have actinics so i need the 14K for some color. And Joe, i look forward to our next meeting so i can get an accurate read on the phosphates. although Ray came over and showed me that my flow was too high and i had way too much phosban in the reactor where the water wasnt flowing through it to well. hope that helps.

Go with Radiums or Phoenix bulbs. Hands down best 2.
