ORP and algae scrubber
I have noticed the last two times I've cleaned my algae scrubber that my ORP drops from around 320-340 to about 240-250 right after I remove the algae from my scrubber. Just an observation, the tank is less then a year old and I've only started trending my ORP values this last month. It's picks back up in a few days and the tank is looking good, so I wasn't too concerned. My understanding of ORP is weak at best, something about oxidizers (O2&O3) compared to reducers(dead organic material). Can anyone help explain why my ORP is dropping during this time?

When you clean the scrubber, the process likely is dumping some organics into the water column. The organics lower the ORP. I wouldn't worry about it.
