bringing it back!
so a couple of weeks ago I lost my christmas favia due to some pests...
I was able to frag a small part that is now healthy, at least it seems... Its been doing good for a week and the old skeleton is now completley dead and still in the tank... My question is, can i attach the small frag to the old skeleton so it grows over it? has anyone done this? should i take the skeleton out of the tank so it dries up and gets cleaner or just attach? thanks!

The favia can grown onto the old skeleton by growing a new one on top of it. It wont fill in the old skeleton, merely cover it eventualy.

so the old skeleton wont really help at all :S... I thought the favia could just grow the tissue over the old skeleton but if it has to regrow the skeleton there is no point in attaching it to the old skeleton if its gonna grow a new one...
I mean it will take the same amount of time for it to regrow old skeleton or not.. correct?
