Stream 3 Question

Can the Stream 3 be run upside down? I'd like to run them in the lower half of my tank, but right side up will probably result in sand damage.

I have no definitive answer on this as it has not been tried, I know a slight downward angle will be no problem and it is probable upside down will work as well, but without a long term test it is not possible to give a definite answer.
