Apex Alk Dosing Pump Settings
Its been awhile since I set up my dosing pumps and I totally forgot how I did mine. I recent purchased a few more sps and they have been sucking up my alk like crazy! I need to add a few more mL to the tank but forgot how to set that. Hope someone can help me remember how to do it lol.
Here is what it is currently set on. Fallback OFF OSC 030:00/004:33/025:27 Then ON If Time 19:00 to 07:59 Then OFF Thanks for looking!

The "004:33" part of the OSC command is telling the doser how long to run. So it's running for 4min 33 seconds. Assuming a doser of 1.1ml/min, it's dosing 5ml per dose.
The "If Time 19:00 to 07:59 Then OFF" statement is saying that you're only dosing between 8AM and 7PM (it is OFF between 1900 nd 0759), for a total of 10 doses. So you're dosing 50ml per day. One question though... did you mean to be dosing alk during the day? Most people dose that at night since it raises your pH levels. Just wondering. So if you want to add more ml per dose, you need to figure out how much extra and adjust the 2nd and 3rd part of the OSC accordingly. For example, if you want to add 10% more alk, then you'd increase your time by 10% making it an even 5 minutes. Your OSC command would then look like: OSC 030:00/005:00/025:00 Then ON If you're wanting to dose each hour, the three times in the OSC should add up to 60 minutes when all is said and done. |

Thanks that cleared up some of my memories!
And to answer your question yes I will be changing the alk to dose at night instead of the day.
