The "factory", my grow out rack for frags I've acquired, and the other rack is starting to fill up with frags from some of my colonies! Having a frag tank is just good fun!

Alright, had some fun with the actinic shots and gel filters the last couple of weeks. Back to the good ol' white lights and what I like to refer to as WYSIRL (What you see in real life) pics... Well... If your eyes could see at the macro level at least.

Oh, growth shot since everything has been happy since the beginning of the year.
Feb 6 - April 18th... Roughly 2.5 months. I frag so much it's hard to do these growth shots but this one was on my do not frag list so good one to track growth. |

No fooling... No gel filters... No saturation boost... No DSLR magic as I snapped it with my android phone... Just ATI T5s and SBREEF actinic bars... WYSIRL (what you see in real life)! Wow! I've always had them under LEDs or LEDs with supplemental T5s but under mainly T5s with actinic bars... Its mesmerizing! Colorado Sunburst! Wow!

Part of me wonders why I've been in reefing for 14 years now and never had a small frag rack just for the purpose of staging frags for pictures like this. So awesome!

So my tank has recently hit what I would call a mature state after its one year mark. Consumption of alk/ca has been pretty stable lately, everything in the tank is happy, colors are about 90% back now versus 70% a couple months ago.
Its hard to describe but you can just see it in the health of the coral. Flesh looks great on the acros and you can see little growing terminal ends on just about every piece in the tank. With this also comes the major growth phase of a mature tank. Once it hits its stride, you'll be rewarded with amazing growth. Here's 2-2.5 months of growth on the first two pieces and 1.5 months on the small frag. Growth rates have just exploded in the last couple of months and its been great to see that again after weathering the move and the 1st ups and downs until the tank is mature. 2.5 months growth 2 months growth 1.5 months growth Last edited by FarmerTy; 04/25/2018 at 01:29 PM. |

You sound like you need a dedicated anemone frag system to collect all these designer nems in so they won’t cause collateral damage Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
