My Maroon Clownfish is around 10 years. Blue Hippo is around 8 yrs I got it when she/he was around the size of my thump nail now about 8 inches. These went thru a few upgrade. The clownfish is a real PITA she drew blood from my hand so many times. I hooked her got her in the sump, different tank but some how she still end up in the DT. It all because of the wife thinks I am being mean LOL

20+ year old yellow tail damsel
8 year old tomini
2 X 15 year old ocellaris clowns

Almost all deaths in the last 20 years were from jumpers. Steps have been taken to prevent this.

My pair is 12 now. So is my pair of pajama cardinals. The clowns are going to a new home this week.

Here's a Lemon Peel Angel bought in 2004. Near as I've been able to determine it's now passed the max age documented of any wild Centropyge species. And it looks pretty healthy so I'm hopeful it will live a good long time still.

I had a gold spot rabbitfish in a customer's aquarium which I purchased in 2002. I had to give up the account a few months ago, to my knowledge it's still alive. It's about two feet long.

I had an entire tank of various Australian Rainbow fish (Red, turquoise, Axelrodi, etc.) which I had for more than 18 years. I got tired of them and sold the lot - after 18 years, I wanted something else in the tank.

The longest lived fish I've kept were clown loaches. I had some more than 35 years old. I ended up selling them. In 50 years of keeping fish, I've NEVER seen an clown loach die from old age. I have no idea how long they live.

I had a customer with a pair of 15-year-old (at least) Jack Dempseys. When they finally died, she was upset. I told her, "Maam, I've never had a dog live that long."

If you stay in this hobby long enough, you'll be amazed at how long fish can live.

Had my female perc clown for 23 years now and it still spawns every 2 weeks. Also got a Regal (Hippo) tang that is 16 years old and a copperband that I've had for eight years.
