Uv sterilizer question
Does the ubmv sterilizer need to be in the display or will sump work?

Really depends on the size of the UV. If the UV can handle more gph than what is going thru your sump then it should be on the DT. My UVs minimum gph is almost 4000 gph so it runs off my DT instead of my sump. Like mentioned above it will Work either way but depending on the size it might be more beneficial running from the DT

Sump is where mine is, you didn't mention the type so I'll post this general warning. Don't expose your fish, or you for that matter, to a uv outside of its enclosure. I only say that because amazon sells a unenclosed one cheap and many of their reviews are from people who have killed all their fish with it.
