SPS identification?

So the coral in question was sold to me as a Pink stylophora however right beside it is a green stylophora and behind is a colony of green pocilliopora,
As this pink stylo grows it looks nothing like a stylo or pocilliopora looks more like a birdsnest? Maybe I'm crazy..

Also has anybody has experience with the ESHOPPS RS-100 with the refugium?
I'm using it and getting allot of algae, lack of flow I think is the problem.

Also my cheato was doing great after I finished my cycle but is mostly dying off now or simply not growing, nitrate/phosphate are little to none so maybe it's starving? If that's he case I may shut it down until the tank matures a bit more, it's about 4 months old. Low nutrient, bare bottom... feeding every other day lightly.. also found because algae is growing in the fuge, it's making its way to the display?

it looks like a stylo to me.....turn your whites only on and take a picture so we can get a better look at the color....

i just did a complete test of the tank for those who want readings.

ALK: 8.3 (i like to keep it around 8.6, still breaking in doser)
Calcium: 470
MG: 1350
Phosphate: 0
Nitrate: 0 - 0.01 couldn't tell if their was a slight pink coloration
Salinity: 1.025 (Refractometer)

all done with Salifert test kits, i have Iodine and Strontium, however i'm still trying to master them...Strontium is a hell of a process..

its a 40B SPS only, Sump is ESHOPPS RS-100 W/ Fuge.
Bubble Magus curve 5
165W Chinese LED. (grows just as good as my Radeon's, not quite as nice though)

Stock: 1x Starry Blenny, 1x Bi-Color Blenny, 1x Lyre Tail Hawkfish, 2x Azure Damsel's, 15-20 Spiny Star Snails...

Plans to get a 6 Line Wrasse in the future..

Turn off your blues and take a pic, really hard to tell anything from a blue pic.

I typically don't doubt myself with stylo he pocilliopora because of the polyps, but the pointy tips have been making me question myself, I'm used to the more rounded tips like the green one however this is a pretty juvenile frag, thanks for the input.. I appreciate it!

Only other suggestion, and it is only cause of my experience with this coral, it could be Birds of Paridise which is id'd as a Birdsnest/ Seritipora, but maybe you should google Birds of Paridse, it was an ORA release several years back, and I love it. Look over the images once you google it, and this may help.

I'd say Stylo, my BOP has thin pointed branches not the blunt end like this one.

True so much and I agree x 10, sometimes flow, nutrient levels, as well as lighting intensity can dictate branch growth, thickness, as well as growth patterns.

Yes my Teal Birds Nets is very thick and far more blunt then it shoule be. It's getting a ton of flow, makes for a weird looking BN. LOL

never had much luck with BN, the one i "saved" was severally stunted and i got it for free, so that could be the case.. but it would grow quickly and look great for a month or two, then start to die off, and repeat the process..

i would have to try a healthy frag..

Crazy how much lightning determines the outcome of a coral, the pocilliopora in the back is my mother colony, the one in the front is a frag from it. The mother is slightly shaded but showing a much deeper green, as opposed to the frag which is in direct light almost looks blue/green.

Initially the mother colony was in my 120g display but I had nitrates sky rocket on me for about a week and the colony bleached from the bottom, transferred to this system which i am thankful it has made a full recovery over the passed 3 weeks or so.

Do you change water regularly? The chaeto will need iron to grow, so you have to supplement it or change water. Changing water is the best way. There is enough N and P in your tank to keep chaeto from dying, but iron is a different issue.

I have a low nutrient system and macro can grow quite well, but I also change a lot of water and dose iron if I need to.
