The brackets will not hold the PH in place
When new they worked great, now no matter how I configure them they drop down. Not the magnet side, the bracket that actually holds the PH. I think the saltwater works on them. Obtw these are only a year old. These are 6095, anyone else having this issue?

I take it this is the latest clamp which has 4 silicon buffers, a c clamp and the magnet has one half with 4 holes in it to connect the clamp with the buffers? Here are the possibilities that come to mind.
1) While it is close, they are not quite symmetrical, the holes are in a rectangular pattern so if the magnet is oriented one way and the clamp another (offset 90 degrees), the buffers are stretching to fit and not making secure contact. 2) The silicon rubber of the buffers will dissolve in acid, if a strong acid was ever used for cleaning they may have lost some diameter and been damaged so they no longer hold. 3) The silicon buffers are not being inserted to the point with the groove so they lock in, most likely due to the first cause.

The part that is causing the problem is the c-clamp part. It is not grasping the PH with enough force to keep it from tilting downward.

In general that should not happen unless they are frequently removed and reinserted, they can then stretch. If you place them in hot water and then squeeze them and let them cool they will be retightened. You can squeeze them quite hard until the two c ends touch but generally just squeeze them until they are close to touching and let them cool. Let them soak in water that is about 120 degrees first for about 10 minutes. You can also use a hair dryer, just get them a little warm to soften the plastic.
