Any ideas? They're on the rock it's on too. At first I thought sand but it wouldn't blow off with a baster. I had to scrape it off with my fingernail on the rock. Almost felt like a little shell. Oh and I'm pretty new at this so I don't have a good handle on things yet.

btw those specific ones are very invasive growers and will out compete anything on the rocks for space. I'd put that in the sand in its own islands away from the main rocks. Cause once they get a hold and grow on your main rocks its gonna be hard to get them off. they grow rather thick matte.
