Paly eradication

Hiya
After the recent press I did some research and it seems I have a pretty nasty bugger in my tank. I can't remove the rock and it's taking over. I have been advised to slowly kalk paste it. But does that not also risk toxins being released?

I have read even dry curing the rock can cause issues too! So bit confused what to do.

Thanks in advance.
