Reef Mineral Salt

Are you supposed to use this on top-off RODI water to replenish trace elements back into tank? This does not contain calcium, magnesium, or potassium?

Reef Mineral Salt is part of full Balling Methode, what indluding:

1 Liquid - Calcium +Magnesium
(US: 13 tbsp of the product and 2.4 tbsp of Magnesium Aquaforest in 1 US gal. of deionized water)

2 Liquid - Kh Buffer ( Dissolve 80g of the product in 1000ml of deionized water)

3 Liquid - Reef Mineral Salt ( US: Dissolve 6.14 tbsp (25g) of the product in 1 US gal. of deionized water)

Reef Mineral Salt – an agent to maintain constant levels of minerals in coral reef aquaria.

So if I am not using balling method can I still use it? I use a calcium reactor with zeomag. Can you use it on top-off water?

I dose my calcium and alkalinity approximately 1 hour apart throughout the day to avoid precipitation. Does the mineral salt have to be dosed a certain time frame apart from calcium or alkalinity or can it be dripped at the same time as either of these supplements?

Also on the Aquaforest website it staltes to dissolve 25grams in 1000ml of water. And then it states disolve 25 grams in 1 US gallon of water. Which is it as 1 US gallon equates to 4000ml (4 liters) which if the first statement is true it should be 100grams per 1 US gallon.

We recommend to dose every Liquid fith Balling (Including Reef Mineral Salt) at intervals minimum 5 minutes between liquids.

US: Dissolve 6.14 tbsp of the product in 1 US gal. of deionized water.

OK your website also states to dissolve 25 grams mineral salt per 1000ml deonized water though.

Hi AF support.

Assuming the typical balling scenario below where you have Calcium and Magnesium in the dosing container "Liquid 1", KH buffer solution in the container "Liquid 2" and the Reef Mineral in the container "Liquid 3". What is the dosage period of the container Liquid 3?

I mean, we monitor Calcium, Magnesium and KH buffer and make adjustments on the daily dosage, but you lost me on what should be the daily dosage for the Reef Mineral.

Please elaborate.

Thx

All 3 parts are to be spread in equal doses to to the tank. If you do the Component 123 version with trace, the 3rd Component also contains Kalium(potassium). As I know it all 3 Components are set up to be equal doses. Cheers

Is there a complete list over what substances are present in the reef mineral salt?

Would I for example have the need to dose extra strontium, barium or any other trace element when using this?
