You mentioned microbubbles before. Maybe I can help you resolve that problem. Can you explain how your sump is plumbed, including the flow rate and how your return pump is set up? Pictures help.

Hey SONOFGALADRIEL...

Here is a link to the diatom pads that I use 24/7 in one of my Tidepool trays!
Diatom Pads
Cheap right? My LFS also has this media in a BAG form. You would run the overflow hoses directly into these bags. WHAMMY! Sparkling water!

New skimmer is in place. Multi plug controller box installed. All power cords to in sump equipment nicely aligned and attached to the top to be out of the way.
This multi plug box control power to all in sump equipment and I can easily turn on or off anything in the stand. Very nice to have this type of control.
I'll be installing the calcium reactor in the section to the right tomorrow morning.

I bought one like it at Guitar Center for $29 each. I have two on my system.

I found the control box on ebay for $12.50 plus $5 shipping. Not bad.

also how many watts or amps are these raetd for?

The control box plugs into the wall just like any other multi outlet strip.
Not all of my equipment is plugged into this box. My pendants, closed loop pumps, and oceansmotions are plugged into their own dedicated outlets and digital wall timers. You can see these in some past posts.
My return pump, heater, skimmer pumps, PH monitor, and calcium reactor pump and solenoid will be plugged into this 8 way box.
This particular 8 way box is rated at 15 amps.

The micro bubbles were comming from the Nautilus skimmer. I had too powerful a pump driving it which resulted the excess bubbles.
Now that I've got the new skimmer running, no more micro bubbles.

Are you running without a fuge? Unless your "left" side is your fuge and return.

That skimmer is huge, made my little DIY look pretty small :P

Sean, I've told Scott to start building me the skimmer like yours (8"od dual recirc) so in 2-3 weeks I should have it! Exciting, it should skim the crap out of a 107 gallon system! Scott's calcium reactor seems to be doing an amazing job also! The sump I got from him is perfect for what I'm doing!

So when we having a frag swap/party/drinking beer at your place?
