I think problems with the Triacs/SSRs were why Neptune went with relays for the EB832

Nice writeup!!
I have a bad port also.
Was thinking of just getting an EB4, but may poke around with it instead.

I have a broken relay plug, The actual plug is broken from smashing a power block into it(long story). Think I may dig into it just to see if I can replace the outlet.

Hi Beth perwein, it means using a special braided copper wire with some flux on it to suck the solder out of the hole, it makes getting the old component legs out much easier. If you search YouTube for removing through-hole components you will find a ton of videos on how to do it. It doesn’t much matter what process you use, solder wick or vacuum. Just get the old part out, clean the holes up and install the new parts.
