Danano's 50G Reef

Started a 15G nano in April and two months ago, transitioned to the 50G.

After almost 12yrs away from reef keeping, I'm back...

Decided to go with a smaller modular setup this time. A 50G with a 30G sump and 32G prop+refugium tank.

The idea was/is to keep the reef setup and its maintenance as simple as possible.

Thanks gimmiks and jsarrow.

Here are a few images of my setup, the stuff in the cabinets. Sump, plumbing, skimmer, auto-doser, wavemaker and pump controllers, chiller, etc.

And then there was water, crushed coral and rock...

And lights. After some basic research and seeing reefers' tanks under different lighting setups, and with a predominantly SPS reef in mind, I went for the AI Hydra HDs. I liked the ease of setting up and configuring the lights/spectrum, and the user friendly mobile app.
