Everything looks to be going really well mate, that beast of a skimmer will do the job
Using the aircon to do the cooling that way is a great idea, haven't seen that before. The day 11 snail looks kinda cool with the fuzzy green hair lol. Looking forward to following your journal my friend Nice to see you posting again Andrew |

It looks as if you can remove your doors entirely. Are these magnetized then? Can you post some more pics on the details of your stand? I love the clean look.

I keep my water parameter very close to LFS. That actually help when I get SPS from him and help this time that put SPS back to his tank. Quote:

I'm trying to understand the doors from your drawings and pictures, but I have to admit I'm still not understanding them entirely. Is there a wooden track or rail that the doors slip up and onto?

I still can't figure out how this work, the imagination and creativity of Dr.Bridge is incredible, haha. Maybe next time you can explain it to me even if I may not use doser... I have to say the chiller in Taiwan is so great because of no noise, no hot air in your house and great cooling ability with low power consumption for large tank. Although it actually need failure free temperature controller and Aqua Control System to avoid this cooling system crash someday... Anyway, I am so glad to see you having SPS tank again. Remember to keep some colorless SPS in LFS |

I saw your last tank's build up on PH8.4, it's very beautiful and SPS grow very vell, so I wonder what's your new goal on this new tank? I mean : pursue better colour or something...
My last 2 tank was running with berin, and the colour was general, but now I like the ZEO colour very much,it's amazing you know, but a little expensive and complicated for me, now I begin my third tank ,may be I give it a try...ZEO Right now I like this kink of colour very much : Snap22472.jpg Last edited by tdong; 01/16/2015 at 05:04 AM. |

I am share we can exchange coral, but ..... YOU GOT TO HAVE A TANK FIRST, my friend. Quote:
I did not set a fixed goal for this new tank, but would like to find way of making tank "smart" enough, a few new toys I am going to try (coming soon), and of course, a better color result than last tank. We should defintely discuss more on color performance here. Oh, I also want to introduce Taiwan reefers to the world since I know how great they are. Thanks. Hope I can keep it clean.... hmmm...I am not sure Mandarin is your native language or not. If it is, then you use precise words here. If not, but you use google translate, then the word usually mean something else.... Hahahaha.... Anyway, thanks.

I probably should start explaining why I put a title as a “smart" aquarium...
As you may find out... I use complete Apex control system. I think that is a significant step to help reefer be smart ;-) and able to take “some” vocation somewhere, sometime…Hahaha But this is not good enough. My friend Elton (especial Elton) and I, sometimes have family migration period from 3 weeks to 9 weeks (Taiwan/US, or Taiwan/China)…. All SPS additives may just stop temporary and SPS still maintain ok color and grow, Ca and Mg can shift a bit without hurting Coral, but Alkalinity (KH), I think it has to keep less than 5~10% fluctuation all the time. Yes, I may skip Calcium reactor and using a GHL dosing system, but I still don’t know my KH value when out of town, and no way to correct it. Asking a friend to do some minimum maintain work per week? Yes, maybe, but when build a complicate system, then I got to find a friend with equal knowledge to do it to avoid collateral damage, that is hard. I put my hope on Mindstream for a while, but then realize they have big delay and all updates are around other water parameters, no KH update so far. Then we talk to another friend in Taiwan, Dr. Bridge (a nickname I call him…Haha) (DR. BRIDGE....) He then invented a prototype for KH auto test, monitoring, and correction daily or hourly. (A LAB TANK WITHOUT ANY MANUAL KH CORRECTION for 9 MONTHS) Above is his tank running with the prototype, absolutely no manual KH test and KH correction for 9 months, and his KH daily log show less than 10% fluctuation all the time. Stay tuned...
