Help.
This snail was on a piece of live rock I added to my tank. Does anyone know what type of snail this is? Is it reed safe? I found it this morning trying to topple one of my other snails. Thanks

From the picture it kinda looks like Nassarius snails which is good and feed on leftover food but there are different types of this snail. Some are predator snails just be careful with that.

Either nassarius snail or a whelk snail. You'll have to research to figure out which. Nassarius are good. They are a great CUC and sand sifters also. Whelk are bad.

It's a Gemophos species, which are predatory on other molluscs or barnacles.
