Lighting recommendations 48x30x21
It's probably going to be mixed SPS dominant. However I want to be able to grow whatever I want just in case later I want all this SPS. Let me know what you guys recommend
Thank you |

I say more the merrier. That's 4 on 48x24x18. Realistically you can get away with 2 across 48" but I found 3 helps with shadowing. Also depends on what's gonna be in the tank.

You can do just fine with 2 gen 4's.

Okay thanks! I currently have one Ration XR30 gen 4 pro. So I will pick up one more. Fredro nice tank! I'm sure you can grow spa at any spot of your aquarium and also run your lights at a lower intensity

Maybe wide angle lenses could help you get better coverage.

I have three Gen3 Pro on my 48x30x24" high. I notice three are more than enough to cover the 48"long but 30" front to back seem not enough. I am planning to switch out the 80Degree lenses for the wide angle lenses for all three to get more cover on the front and back.

I ended up going with two Gen 4 XR30 pro's. Tank is still in build process so not sure if it will cover. Since these are the Gen 4 pros they come with the HEI lenses so there is no option to switch to wide angle lenses. The new gen 4 pro's are supposed to have a 36x36 coverage so I think I will be fine
