Auto water changes and ato?

I'm looking at the awc/ato all in one from brs for a nano. Has anyone used this or have feed back? I'm wondering if it does the ato before the awc? I believe if it didnt it would raise all levels.wich would be detrimental in a nano tank.

The device seems to work with optical sensors, and so I suspect it separates the two functions. I think it should be fine, in that respect, but I haven't used that device. At least, I am assuming it's one of the AutoAqua units that you are considering.
