MP40QD with MP10ES W

Going to replace one of my MP10ESW which is very noisy.

System is 4x2x2 approx 400 litres.

Question is
can the new MP40QD act as master with MP10ESW and more importantly will the speed be synced i.e. output of MP40 is 50% and MP10 100% to give roughly same flow rate.

I think it should work. I'm interested in knowing as well. I had a similar discussion with someone on Facebook. Others on the discussion advised to check glass thickness on the MP10. The majority suggested 2 MP40s but I think that's overkill for a 120 gallon. Ideal would be 4 mp10s but that is not a cost effective option.

NewMarine,

The a QuietDrive and EcoSmart pump can be linked in a master'slave relationship. With that in mind, the speed of the pumps will be synced but the flow rates will not since the pumps are different sizes.

Thanks for the replies.
As I thought sync will not work the way I want so will have to use individually as will not be using very high flow rate on MP40.

Regards the glass thickness the MP10 works OK with glass thickness of 10mm but I'm not sure over that thickness.
