Gig acclimation

So I'm picking up a gig tomorrow from a fellow member, it's an established gig but I still wanna take every precaution to insure its success. It'll be in my car for about an hour. I'm getting it with the rock attached so floating isn't an option. How long would you recommend dripping it and is there anything else I should do to insure its good health. TIA

Nice. Definitely need some pics posted. Personally, I don't drip acclimate anything fish or invert. If you get the salinity matching and the temp somewhat close you'll be fine.

Bring a good size container which can hold the temperature of the water (unless you will bring huge amount of water, then it's less possible). When I get my animals I always put them in a thermo lunch bag 😂. My drip acclimation last no less than one hour for anemones, following 30 minutes temperature acclamation. Also ask their lighting setup and make sure you will acclimate your nem for the lighting if your lightings are too different.

Well the new gig is in and it only took minutes for the clowns to find it. When I got home with it my clowns looked so depressed without a nem, they were in the bottom corner of the tank on the sand bed lol. I'll post pics in a few days, don't wanna jinx anything.

Fine lol here's a pic

It's a tanish purple with a light blue foot, I got it from nemguy here on RC. It's about 5-6" and my faded clown from the mag is already getting his color back.

Here's a video I just took. You can see the clowns battling for dominance of the gig and themselves, didn't have that problem in the mag cause it was so big they could get lost in it lol.

Thanks brother, glad to hear the mag is doing well. I can't tell you how many times that mag zapped me while doing tank maintenance lol and it doesn't tickle.

Since the video I increased the flow, I had it on Else mode which is a random flow that my mag liked but I switched it to H mode which is strong and constant. I will take another video tomorrow this time holding my phone properly lol

Looking good.

Too bad there is not a H Else mode LOL.. Mine seem to like the tidal flows I am giving it. I mix it up many times during the day.

Well else goes from low to the highest setting but I don't think it stays on high long enough. It's a Jeabo so it's not the finest piece of equipment, trying to get my hands on a decent priced MP10 or just add a second Jeabo for the other side.
