Update:

I did another water change and I scrubbed one of the rocks in the top right (circled). I also tried to suck out some of the algae without scrubbing and some came out with little effort. It certainly seems that the Vibrant is working in some form or fashion. The algae has definitely started to thin out.

Glad you are seeing a dent in the algae. It does work but it does take time.

Update:

I have not posted in awhile and it seems like the Vibrant has made a good dent in the algae. There has certainly been a thinning of the algae. Top photos are day 1, bottom photos are from today.

There's no corals in there? Why not just turn off the lights, or greatly reduce photoperiod?

I really don't know what vibrant does algae killing vs nutrient lowering as I've never used it and the lfs around here don't even carry it.. when I was first starting out I had some nutrient issues and found no3 po4 x by redsea very effective in lowering nutrients and not harming coral inverts fish or bivalves. I keep some on stand by jic now. This would be an expensive long term investment but may help get you started on a clean path once the algae is gone if you still need to drop nutrients. I have also overdosed this product accidentally (double recommend max) and didn't see any adverse effects so even without testing for po4 no3 I might try it if you experience issues but you could make that choice
