Well after 5 years from this tank to my old one, it happened. I had 8 clownfish in this tank, I sold the two bigger ones which I've had for 5 years, the 6 small ones are 2 months new to my system. While catching or attempting to catch them, my large female jumped into the anenome. 5 years and never paid it a lick of attention, that net came out and she jumped right in

Thank you!
I have been dosing vodka/vinegar for awhile now, recently switched that out for a bio-pellet reactor my buddy took offline. Giving it a try. With 30 or so fish I hope to be able to feed more. My N03 has been steady in that 5-10 range. One thing I'm noticing is I might need to switch to the MP60's at some point for more flow at the front of the tank. My gyre is down AGAIN . I did but it used but in 4 months it's broken twice. Now it needs be propeller bushings, which I got when I upgrade the propellers to the rugged version as this pump is the original 150 series. Really frustrated with this whole pump thing and am strongly considering putting a Tunze on the overflow box for that flow in the valley. While I really like the motion the gyre creates, I want and need something reliable. Corey |

Well the parts needed for my gyre, the propeller bushing have now been out of stock for weeks now. Or so it seems. It's been down for over a month now, waiting on these to get back in stock. Although I got new bushings when I upgraded the propellers few months ago. Beyond frustrating and no one at coralvue seems to care. Oh well.
Good news, I just got a mystery pack from Adam at battlecorals!!!! So stoked, they are floating in the tank now. Corey |

Wow, that sucks. I've never had that issue but of course I never actually really needed them to get something working. I just was constantly upgrading them as new parts came out. Figures when something is broken they are out. Carlos is usually pretty active over on R2 R in their forum. You may want to give him a shout out there.

I've been in touch with him via email. At this point, I'm debating whether I really want to even keep it at this stage.

Looking good! Love the depth of field, makes the tank look much larger.

Love the canyon. It is very reminiscent of Steve Weast's Oregon Reef.

Dave, that tank was my inspiration. That is by far my all time favorite aquascape.

Just getting ready to put a buds turbo L3 algae scrubber online!! Super stoked and this thing is built incredible!
Current parameters N03 5-10 DKH 9.1 P04 .07 (per hanna) Salinty 1.026 Must things look good and happy. Some sps corals are growing across the rocks crazily. Especially my c-ward tri color, the thing is encrusting like a maniac. Things seem to be settled in so I hope to get more vertical growth soon. Also just got the gyre back on line after months of nothing, so that should help. Let the waiting games begin! Corey Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk |

hard to say but you probably need to get a PVC coupler and add some length to that to get it slightly in the water.
Important thing right now getting it started is to make sure there's just enough flow to cover the entire screen. Then once algae gets a footing to turn up the flow slightly a small amount at a time. The lighting I extend the photo period a little every couple weeks when cleaning the screen off.

Well I have been scraping the coralline off the panels of my tank and it's a task (for now I'm doing it by hand).
2 days after cleaning the front pane I come home and 3 SPS frags were completely bleached (it happened in less than 24 hours). Under no circumstances am I blaming the coralline removal just saying timing was odd. Parameters are as follows 79.1 temp 5-10 n03 Alk. 8.3 .031 p04 per hanna Need to update my calcium kit but a CA/Rx is being used. Corey |
