Sick Naso Tang not eating
Hello. We have a medium sized Naso Tang that's been in QT since we got him 1 week ago. He won't eat the frozen food, pellets or flakes. He will only eat bloodworms. Now it looks like he has some white on his gills. He is currently in the 55 gallon QT tank with some other fish but there doesn't appear to be any aggression going on.
Any idea what these white areas on his face are? The white spots on his belly/back are because we were near the tank and just appeared before the photos. |

It may be the beginning of a bacterial infection. Are you dosing anything to the tank at the moment? I would look at getting some kanaplex or furan 2. If he is sick, he might not eat for you.

I would stop the melafix, I doubt it is doing any help at the moment. Can you pick up some furan 2 and kanaplex and start dosing that to the qt. At the bare minimum I would at least add some kanaplex.
