Where is the New Edge 19 gallon?????

Dose anyone know anything about the release date of the new 19G (72L) Fluval Edge reef tank? The few online reports are teeming with praise but not a signal one can speak too where, when or how much$$..... Your thoughts please.

From what I have seen about it and I not sure if it's all true. But there was an interview with someone at the fluval both at macna that said that they are limited edition tanks that are being sold for a charity. But he didn't specify if it was all of them or just the blue one they had at macna. All I know is they wanted 2000 for each one they sold and he said there was only 1000 being made

If I remember correctly that was Mr. Saltwatertank and that was for a bigger reef compatible system the system the OP is referring to I believe is different.

That sounds far more believable that only the blue one is limited, no corporation would ever put so much time and money into a product only to sell 1000 of them... Even if they did cost 2k a piece that's a silly business model. However, I have not seen any evidence of a blue 19g edge. The reef builders article I read only references the speculation of a blue tank as a possible color option they would like to see in the future. Where did you come across this news?

... I would bet though we do see them sell a blue edge in 2016 "because of popular demand".... LOL!

Sorry to hear that they won't be offered until next year... I was hoping to pick one up too down size my reef over the fall to make it easily movable to our (and there) new home this Christmas.

Must have had manufacturing issues.

Hopefully it didn't cripple their cash flow.

I have been told by a reliable source that they are having pricing issues among other things and the cant make them at a price people will buy them. My source said they were talking over 500 for the freshwater and added a couple 100 more for the salt which would be crazy considering that you're getting a glorified hang on the back filter some cheap LED lights and a cheap heater the only things are worth having is the tank and I heard the protein skimmer works pretty decent but that's definitely not worth five to seven hundred dollars for the salt water model
