Aeration?

Stupid question: Does a reef tank with no fish need aeration? I just have a frag and some chaeto in mine. Wondering if I should add an air pump.

Yes, but with surface agitation or/and with a skimmer. An air pump would cause massive salt creep.

Ah, that's a good point. I hadn't heard that term before ("salt creep") but I looked it up. Thank you!
