How

This morning somehow i found my tiger pistol shrimp on the floor in a room about 40 feet or so away from our tank. I have no clue how this happened, seeing as we have glass lids in which the only holes are very small and are for wires. (Wires going through them) so i dont see how this happened. Any possible ideas for what could have happened? I’m pretty much stumped on why it even happened.

Visitors, kids, and cats are the most likely answers.

If something scared him enough to shoot backwards and up the tank it *IS* possible for him to get through tiny cracks along your piping runs. At that point he is out of the water, struggling, crawling or flipping his tail to quickly move back into the water and slowly works his way over the carpet.

More likely though is he managed to get himself out of the tank and the cats took it from there.
