Matt
The V4 interface is dead simple , 4 channels with some preset ones a quick start one were you can play about with sliders for each channel for pics etc and get the best settings for colours so you can customise your own.I would download the app and have a play. I wanted the V4's but had an issue with the one they sent as the spectrum was different to the front 2,they let me return it and custom made a v4 with the v3 spectrum in white for me so they all match. You need to see a v4 on a tank before considering as I thought the spectrum was not what I wanted. The V4 are very powerful with 90 degree lenses for deep tanks in my opinion, they are also bulky to mount as they only have hanging kits but I managed to mount 2 inline on DD rails. BRS have reviewed them

I think mounting them that way you would struggle to get full coverage as they are approx. 22'' long and approx. 9'' wide. I had a similar problem because my tank is 30'' wide and still think I need to change the radion to a orphek .I tried all sorts of leds and the biggest challenge was getting it something like.

Bill,
Then i would probably need 6 panel’s (
Wow, kinda expensive .
Do you mount them individually or using some kinda rack like Radions ?

They are messy to hang as they only come with ceiling hanging wires if your going with that expense I would consider finding a professional to make a fitting and a canopy .I hate the look of mine but love the light they give, it was supposed to be temporary until a do an upgrade but that's not going to happen now so ive got my thinking cap on to solve it.lol

Thank you Bill

As per Orphek respond via Facebook i can get away with 4 units..I guess they think one unit can cover front to back 36" deep tank..

On other hand, i hate canopy look use to hate it back in the days when i was running MH with VHO). I dont get it, why they cant come up with a bar like Ecotech did...Strange

There will be 6'' at the front and back of the tank being covered by 6 leds either end of the fitting which have 90 degree lenses ,if you use 4 front to back there will be gaps between each unit in excess of 6'' you will have shading issues all around the sides of the tank. I have 2 units in line mounted on DD rails 9'' off the water across the front the edge of the units are 4'' away from the sides and I have low light in those area's.I have tried radions, vertex, kessels and had issues with them all the exception being when I had halides/T5 which gave wall to wall coverage and I have not been able to replicate them with leds the only solution in my opinion would be to get as near to wall to wall coverage with leds.

If you scan the the images you will see that tank started with 5 units front to back then 6 units and 2 compacts the lastly 7 ,it looks like its 30'' wide as they attempted to use 3 units lengthways either side and 2 compacts in the middle.I like the way they have mounted the 7 it looks like they are on a plinth hope that helps.

Hi
Thanks guys , I have chopped the big hysterix at the back and added a reef bone with a couple branches so I added a Christmas mirabilis and another to fill in . The frags were mail order and poor quality so will have to see how they go.

There are some fast growers that need cutting back often and I have removed a lot of the larger corals that were causing shading issues and added some frags .The frags all go to lfs .
