What to feed inverts in nano. Not enough food.
Im not sure if its because a lack of food but that is my guess as to why a couple of hermits have died in my 14 gallon biocube.
I don't have a skimmer so I usually only feed my 2 clowns once day but Im afraid I'm not supplying enough for the inverts. I had 2 hermits die recently and they where the 2 biggest and Im thinking it was from a lack of food. I have 3 nassarius 3 Tiger Trochua 4 blue legged hermits blue tuxedo cleaner shrimp low phosphates and low algae Liveaquaria says that I should supplement algae for dried seaweed but how? I tried to clip some seaweed down at the bottom and never seen the urchin or the crabs make there way over to it. should I chop the seaweed up and let it float around the bottom? |

I would use sinking algae pellets.

Hermits are sold as herbivores, but actually they will eat almost anything. They should be fine with a bit of excess fish food, same as the Nassarius and shrimp. I'd be more worried about feeding the urchin.
Do you have some larger shells for the hermits?

I would rubberband a small piece of Nori to a small rock and lay it on the sandbed.
