One last LED question

Hello all after reading all the interesting post on setting up an led system i only have one unanswered question, how would you hood up a DIY LED system to a reef controller like a reef-keeper or similar controller. Thanks

Assuming you use a driver like the Meanwell ELN 60-48-D, which is dimmable with a 0-10v signal, you can control it with the variable speed ports on an Apex; I think the current reefkeepers have a module that will do something similar.

Outside of dimming, of course, you can use a controller to switch 110v power on and off to your drivers (or groups of drivers).

The ALC module will work with the reef keepers.

The full version Apex has 0 - 10V variable speed ports for 4 channels. The Lite version would require an additional variable speed module. As far as I know, prior AquaController models cannot perform dimming functions (via an AquaSurf, or otherwise...), but can be used for basic on/off control. I'm not as familiar with the Reef-Keepers although like ghellin mentioned their ALC module has the 0 - 10VDC ability.

There are several DIY Arduino controller threads around as well. Dimming/ramping/weather effects can be achieved from ~$50 in DIY parts to the more extravagant methods.

I have read a few of those DIY controller threads and with my limited computer skill I doubt I would have the patience to do that. So what type connection would actually connect the driver to the reefkeeper? Thanks for all the info so far
