With a couple of friends, I completed the geothermal... it took a month.
Now I’m running pressure tests to find any holes and fixing them. The weather was a big obstacle for weeks and working in a mud pit in 100 degrees after a rain was ... unique https://imgur.com/gallery/h1izlTL https://imgur.com/user/BrightReefGardens I apologize for not posting all the pics in the thread. It’s exhausting work. Once it’s fixed, I need to remove the sawhorse supports, drop it in the pit with rope supports and then fill with sand and compact it Then comes the air geothermal Then the crushed concrete base under the pool

Glad to see some posts on this again. I've been curious about how it's coming along.
Wish I lived closer so I could help out. |

Today I’m using a vacuum pump to try and draw pvc glue into the holes I found by pressurizing the system with my air compressor and listening for leaks. I’m waiting for it to dry and then I’ll repressurize and retest.
There are about 300 joints and each needs to be checked. I got an ultrasonic leak detector for the next pass in case there are still holes I couldn’t find with a stethoscope.

Hey guys. Sorry to have been gone for a bit but between COVID and building this beast, it’s been a little hectic.
Things are still going - just very slowly. And if you’re in the DFW area, I’m still looking for help. I’m further along than this but here’s my imgur for the pics: https://imgur.com/user/BrightReefGardens It’s just been a lot of pics so this is more convenient - also allows video. I’ll update with the concrete footing and rebar pics soon.

I just checked out your imgur, and realized that I had seen one of your posts earlier and was confused about it, thought it was just a pool with a bar inside, not a reef!
Now that I know it's you, I can pay more attention! |

I have a YouTube video showing the original plan https://youtu.be/DqHlDnL29TI It’s a little slow but that’s because it’s a new channel with only one vid that no one ever looks at! Lol

The coping around the reef has an indent for the 30” of glass that’ll raise the reef water.
The concrete pillars are there to support the glass since it’s a 16’ span and I’ll break that up into 10’ and 6’ The reef windows will let me see through to the floor and the hidden caves. The sump window was just in case.
