Clownfish pair

I'm starting to get concerned about my Clownfish pair. They are in an established 40 gallon tank. I've had them both over a year. I've just noticed this week that they havent been eating. The female clownfish used to eat like a pig but now when I feed the tank she stays up by the heater. (They have hosted the heater). The male clownfish stays right there with her.
I dont know much about Clownfish mating so I'm hoping this is normal behavior that happens before they mate, but if not then something may be wrong.
The other fish in the tank are eating normal.
Any ideas??
