Bubble Magus A5 for 625XXL?

Hi all,

I'm starting to plan out what I need right away and what can wait for my new tank.. I'm going from a 58g display/30g sump to a Red Sea Reefer 625 XXL... I'm still a few months away in getting it started but I'm looking at my current equipment. I have a Bubble Magus Curve A5, some sites say good to 125 gallon and some 140 gallon.. my new tank will be 133g display and the sump I believe is around 27 gallons.. so 160 gallons total.. but I think the sump usually only holds 1/2-2/3 water capacity.

Will my Bubble Magus Curve A5 be enough? or should I look to upgrade?

Thanks.

Skimmer ratings are kind of like throwing a dart at the wall and many overskim and many underskim and each of those can have successful tanks.. There are those that think their tank does better without skimming too.. A skimmer is optional and very hard to quantify its usefulness/return on investment..

So I would answer that yes the A5 "could" certainly be enough based on so many variables and an almost impossible to quantify usefulness of a skimmer..
If I already had one I would certainly keep it and use it until I had proven facts that it wasn't suitable..

Like mcgyr stated use it until you need more, I would keep a Bubble Magnus Curve 7 on my short list, and if a screaming deal came along I would jump on it.
